Wait! The lost is found. The prodigal ironworks have come home.
This is quite possibly the most embarrassing email I have ever had to
write but here goes. Yesterday I came home from the store with flowers and
couldn't find the vase I wanted to use. While searching I opened the
bottom of a server in the dining room where instead of the vase, I found a
long rectangular cardboard box. Honestly, I don't remember bringing it in
the house and can think of no reason I would put it in the server. My
husband swears he didn't do it. My son was home from school but there is
no way the boy would have done anything more than bring it in the door. He
has no idea how to put anything away. Sure enough though, I opened it and
it was/is indeed the towel bar and paper holder I swore never got here. I
can't believe we could have had them up this whole time. [I'm sure you'll
be relieved to know I eventually found the vase I was searching for too]
I have no rational explanation for this except, perhaps rapidly
advancing dementia in my husband or myself. I am so sorry to have troubled
you and I hope you will still accept future orders from me. I can't
apologize enough. Here I was happy when UPS contacted me yesterday morning
because the loss was on it's way to settlement. Now I have to call them
back and tell them: Never mind. Sorry. I'm the moron. And yes, I am a
natural blonde.
The other good news is that we hung both items yesterday after we found
the box and they look terrific. I am so happy with them. Y'all do
beautiful work. I keep walking into that bathroom just to admire them.
Thank you again for great iron pieces and for your friendly service. I
hope you will accept my apology for any anxiety and inconvenience this
caused you. I'll call UPS back in the morning and hopefully there is
nothing more you have to do concerning the matter. I can only imagine the
paperwork. I am sorry.
