This shelf bracket has a wonderfully simple design that is both classic and functional. The ends of the round rod are heated in the forge and then beaten to flatten them where they join the legs of the shelf bracket. It is made of 5/8" solid steel round rod and 3/8" thick steel flat bar which is 1.5" wide. Beef them up to heavy duty brackets by ordering 3/4" round rod instead of the 5/8".

My
four "C" style 10x10 corbels came in a little while ago. My
contractor came yesterday to install them for me. He was very impressed
with the quality and style. In fact, he asked for your website (which, of
course, I provided to him) so that he could use you in future jobs. He
said that he'd never seen such nice iron corbels and when I told him what I'd
paid for them, he said that was very reasonable...and for the quality and
thickness, he thought that I would have paid more. They pull my kitchen
together nicely as they match the pot rack style. I didn't want those
'fancy' wood corbels...and when I found these, I was very happy. I wanted
to keep things simple with clean lines...and your corbels are perfect. Thank you
again...I will keep you in mind for my bathroom remodel.

The brackets you crafted needed just
the right look to be used as corbels for a counter-top overhang in a
$400,000 spectacular kitchen remodel.
The design blended a huge stone fireplace, hand-hewn 150 year old barn
beams, with modern cabinets and appliances.
These corbels needed to have just the "right -look" to tie it all together.
I was very pleased with the service you provided.
You understood the custom look and finish we needed via our phone
conversation and then you expertly crafted and finished them to my desires.
They looked perfect and were exactly what I wanted! My customer and her
designer loved them as well!
Thanks again.
